I’m a San Francisco resident asking you to vote to halt the reckless reorganization plan proposed for Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting. Proposed enrollment maps have been drawn in a way that would disenfranchise our Black families and create sweeping changes and chaos for families in every neighborhood of San Francisco.

Instead of a chaotic reorganization plan, please launch a community process to create fully funded sustainable community schools which prioritize equity and which respond to the needs of our neighborhoods. Sustainable community schools are cost-effective and are a proven way to meet the needs of our families.
