I am a San Francisco resident who believes we should prioritize our immigrant students and families.

If SFUSD is going to make cuts it should be to expensive contractors NOT newcomer students.

I believe that we need to fight back against Trump’s budget cuts and threats of deportation by investing in programs that provide wraparound support to immigrant students and families.

• We urge you cancel last week’s contract to pay outside leadership consultants $211/hour. 

• Restore the funding that was slashed from San Francisco International High School.

• Ensure that schools serving high need students and newcomer students are fully-staffed with credentialed teachers, school nurses, clerks, and other vital support staff.
